Adapting the Presentation Layer in Rich Internet Applications
نویسندگان
چکیده
Rich Internet Applications offer Web surfers a richer user experience, mainly due to better responsiveness and enhanced user interface capabilities. In recent years, existing design methodologies targeting traditional Web 1.0 applications were extended to also support RIAs. These extensions do not yet cover all design concerns typically encountered in state-of-the-art Web applications. One yet unsupported aspect is the personalization of content and presentation to the specific user and his/her context, exploiting the extra capabilities offered by RIAs. This article addresses this hiatus and presents an extension of the OOH4RIA approach to include presentation personalization support, focusing on Rich Internet Applications.

A Mobile and Fog-based Computing Method to Execute Smart Device Applications in a Secure Environment
With the rapid growth of smart device and Internet of things applications, the volume of communication and data in networks have increased. Due to the network lag and massive demands, centralized and traditional cloud computing architecture are not accountable to the high users' demands and not proper for execution of delay-sensitive and real time applications. To resolve these challenges, we p...

Rich Internet Applications signi cantly raise the user experience compared to conventional web applications by providing highly responsive user interfaces. Although, this is already a tremendous advance in usability, it does not solve the usability issues of one-sizets-all user interfaces. So far, research on adaptive hypermedia came up with server-side solutions for adapting web applications t...
متن کاملProving Properties of Rich Internet Applications
We introduce application layer specifications, which allow us to reason about the state and transactions of rich Internet applications. We define variants of the state/event based logic UCTL* along with two example applications to demonstrate this approach, and then look at a distributed, rich Internet application, proving properties about the information it stores and disseminates. Our approac...
متن کاملAdapting Web 1.0 User Interfaces to Web 2.0 Multidevice User Interfaces using RUX-Method
The development of Web applications, both functionality and Web User Interfaces (UIs), has been facilitated over the last few years using Web models and methodologies. However, new requirements that overcome traditional HTML-based Web 1.0 User Interfaces limits have arisen. Developers and tool vendors have answered these limits introducing Rich Internet Applications (RIAs). RIA technologies pro...
متن کاملPersonalizing the Interface in Rich Internet Applications
Recently, existing design methodologies targeting traditional Web applications have been extended for Rich Internet Application modeling support. These extended methodologies currently cover the traditionally wellestablished design concerns, i.e. data and navigation design, and provide additional focus on user interaction and presentation capabilities. However, there is still a lack of design s...
